Today Miracle Systems has over 100 active Prime Contracts across the Federal Government.

Sandesh Sharda
President and CEO

Leader, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and visionary who studied in India (BA) and the United Kingdom (Masters), Mr. Sharda founded Miracle Systems in 2003 after establishing himself in IT and financial sectors, including at Oracle. Since starting the organization, he has been consistently recognized, lauded, and awarded by industry and federal sources – including the Smart CEO of the Year award by Smart CEO Magazine, and Small Business of the Year awards from the Department of Transportation, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Department of State. An innovative thinker, Mr. Sharda uses his leadership skills and acumen to provide guidance to Miracle Systems in business development, strategic growth, program management, technical solutioning, and resource management. He has overseen the company diversify to serve over 20 federal agencies and is known for finding ways for the Government to improve business processes, cut costs, and better serve their constituents.

Sameer Sharma
Chief Technology Officer and Systems Architect 

An accomplished IT executive professional who brings over 30 years of experience to the table – including as a Principle Architect for emerging tools and prototypes at Lockheed Martin – Mr. Sharma is focused on complex projects, developing customized solutions, and implementing enterprise strategies. He is ITIL v 3 and PSM certified, a Systems/Solutions architect and engineer, a PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), and a subject-matter expert extraordinaire. He serves as CTO and as a Chief Systems Architect for Miracle Systems, where he is primarily responsible for the company’s overall IT direction and strategy. The breadth and depth of his portfolio of IT knowledge is almost inexhaustive, evincing expertise across the spectrum of application development, infrastructure, cloud computing, business intelligence, data management, virtualization, the web, and NextGen technologies. He also mentors Program Managers and Technical Leads and collaborates with the Business Development team on crafting customized technical solutions. Sameer received a biomedical engineering degree from Bombay University, India and has a Masters (MS) in Computer Science from Pace University, NY. He has been with us since 2011.

Jennifer Totman
Chief Growth Officer

Our Chief Growth Officer (CGO), Jennifer Totman, is a highly accomplished business development professional and PMP who studied Project Management at George Washington University and was previously a Senior Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton. With over 25 years of industry experience, Ms. Totman is a leader in the field of government contracts and is considered an expert on Department of Homeland Security (DHS) missions, operations, and business processes. A pivotal member of the Miracle Systems Executive Leadership team, she implements the company’s strategic vision and provides cogent guidance to the business development team, the program managers across our federal contracts, and the Program Management Office (PMO) – and works closely with the CTO and technical leads on our signature solutions. Her portfolio includes capture management; contract vehicle expansion; Department of Defense (DoD) contracts; contract budgets and staff resources; proposal management; teaming partner negotiations, relationships, and oversight; client communications – and client satisfaction. She has ushered in an era of exponential growth for Miracle Systems.

Joe Sciacca
Chief Financial Officer

A Certified Public Accountant who earned his B.S. in Accounting from Georgetown University and his Master in Taxation from The American University, Mr. Sciacca is extremely well qualified to serve as CFO for Miracle Systems. He comes to us with over 30 years of experience in financial reporting and management across a broad spectrum of industries. He has expertise in DCAA-approved accounting systems, incur-cost submissions, joint ventures, taxes, business combinations, strategic planning, ledgers, invoicing, budgets, federal submissions, compliance, and all aspects of government contracting. Joe is an invaluable resource for all Miracle Systems teams.

 

Suresh Gulati
Senior Vice President

Mr. Gulati is a Senior Vice President with over 20 years of program management, stakeholder engagement, accounting, budgetary, and financial management experience for the Federal Government, International Monetary Fund (IMF), and commercial clients. Since joining Miracle Systems in 2007, he has led large proposal efforts resulting in winning government-wide acquisition (GWAC) to include GSA OASIS Small Business, Department of Energy (DOE) NNSA 8(a) Management, Organizational and Administrative Support Services Blanket Purchase Agreement (MOA BPA), Department of Army Joint Enterprise Research, Development, Acquisition & Procurement (JE-RDAP) IDIQ and numerous other task orders released under these IDIQ contracts. Suresh’s portfolio of responsibilities includes capture management, proposal management, teaming partner agreements, and post-award contract management. He currently manages a diverse portfolio of Miracle’s Federal customers, which includes DOT, USDA, EXIM Bank, Army National Guard, and Department of Labor. Prior to joining Miracle Systems, Suresh worked at the IMF providing mission support both in Washington, DC and worldwide.

Daniel Fletcher, Jr
Executive Vice President
(DHS and DoD)

A CPA with additional CIO certification granted by DoD National Defense University, Mr. Fletcher has served as Executive Vice President for Miracle Systems for over 10 years. Prior to joining us, he served as Deputy CFO for the Department of the Interior – where he provided executive oversight for a $16 billion enterprise – and held additional leadership positions at the Office of Personnel Management and at KPMG. It goes without saying that he is an expert of the world of Federal Government contracts and an indispensable asset to Miracle Systems. With his core competencies in finance, budgets, procurement, logistics, operations, internal controls, information technology full lifecycle, and compliance, his wisdom and acumen is always turned to for matters large and small in contract execution and stakeholder satisfaction.

David  Stack
Senior Vice President (Military Services)

Holding an MS in Logistics Management from the Air Force Institute of Technology and an BA in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh – and with over 30 years of leadership experience – Mr. Stack both oversees Miracle System’s defense contracts and serves as our GSA Oasis Program Manager. He is a highly experienced and astute manager, analyst, and business planner who, among other things, has led a NATO team on arms control treaty inspections in East Europe; overseen the financial operations of a multi-national organization; and managed hundreds of millions of dollars in commercial and federal contracts. He is considered a SME of government contracts – including capture, training, research, BPAs, IDIQs, growth strategies, requirements analysis, operations, strategic planning, quality management systems, marketing, proposal writing, financial management, procurement, business process re-engineering, and change management. We rely on David’s acumen and wisdom in visioning and implementing the Miracle Systems of tomorrow.

 

David Kanupke
Senior Vice President (DHS)

A Senior Vice President focused on our Department of Homeland Security (DHS) account, Mr. Kanupke has 20 years of experience in program management, technology projects, business development, and operations that cut across commercial and federal sectors. An incisive and strategic thinker, he has a “big picture” view of projects that allows him to approach mission challenges from engineering, IT, security, business, and logistics perspectives simultaneously. His background includes creating long-term agency strategic plans to align resources to milestones and has successfully captured and managed task orders, BPAs, and IDIQs of all sizes. He is known for policy development, effectively leading cross-functional teams, building community-based partnerships, and relentless searches for process improvements. David earned his B.A. in Politics from Ithaca College and earned his Master’s in Public Policy from the Vermont Law School.  

Stephen Nichols
Senior Vice President (USAID, DoS)

Stephen Nichols has over 25 years of targeted experience – including execution of assignments for international organizations in Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Southeast Asia, and Africa – making him well suited to service our USAID and State Department contracts. With a background spanning federal civilian, military, and commercial sectors, Stephen has core competencies in organizational strategy, change management, antiterrorism training support, workforce development, CIO strategic support, technology assessment, and international development. Prior to joining Miracle Systems, he held senior management positions at NTT DATA and Arthur D. Little, Inc., with responsibilities for business development, capture, GWAC/IDIQ management, and delivery. Stephen received his Ph.D. in Economic Geography from the University of Iowa, M.A. in Economics from Indiana University, and B.A. in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is PMP certified.

Stephen Krill
Senior Vice President (DHS, DOE)

A seasoned professional, Mr. Krill joined Miracle Systems after 22 years with Booz Allen Hamilton and SAIC. Equal parts engineer and businessman, Stephen’s executive experience includes corporate growth, business operations, and talent management for small and large federal contractors. He possesses core expertise in large-scale transformation, organizational strategy, IT and systems engineering, and program management. Stephen is a frequent speaker at international conferences and a contributing author to textbooks and standards on crisis management, cyber security, and disaster response. He earned a B.S. degree in nuclear engineering from the University of Cincinnati, an M.S. degree in environmental engineering from Johns Hopkins, and an M.B.A. graduate certificate from Virginia Tech. Stephen is additionally certified in Project Management, Business Continuity, and Emergency Management – and holds two U.S. patents. 

 

Rajiv Murjany
Senior Vice President (IT Programs) 

An MBA, a PMP, and an AWS Solutions Architect, Mr. Murjany is a true “two for one” consultant and leader who is equally steeped in business and technology. He serves as Miracle System’s Senior Vice President of IT Programs – and his responsibilities includes overseeing our USAID CIO Strategic Program, our entire HHS portfolio, and building best practices in emerging technologies across all our teams. Known for success in large-scale global IT projects, Rajiv’s over 20 years of experience includes mission critical assignments at NIH, the FDA, the Treasury, and the World Bank – where he was Global Head of Business Technologies and Data Analytics, providing strategic leadership on IT platforms that supported a $300 billion enterprise. His vast array of core competencies includes program management, enterprise architecture, IT strategy, business intelligence, cloud computing, large-scale migrations, COTS implementations, robotics process automation (RPA), data management and digital warehousing strategies, banking software, vendor management, and customer relationship management (CRM). He is synonymous with modernization projects and was a 2018 Stevie Award winner in the category of Reimagining Business for the Digital Age.

Michael Hinton
Senior Program Director (DoS)

A recognized leader in government consulting, Mr. Hinton brings over 25 years of program and project management experience to the table. He currently provides program management and corporate oversight support for Miracle Systems’ contracts at the Department of State. He has core competencies in negotiations, task order management, requirements gathering, business processes, and communications. With sensibilities that are hard to find these days, Michael sees to it that requirements are met, deliverables are timely, and stakeholders are satisfied. He uses his knowledge and leadership skills to mentor others at Miracle Systems in the field of federal stewardship. He has won numerous awards and formal recognitions for his service and accomplishments.

Willy Straubhaar
Senior Program Director 

PMP, CISSP, Certified Scrum Master, former police detective, and recognized authority in the fields of computer forensics, crisis management, counterintelligence, and counterterrorism training, Mr. Straubhaar is an apt choice to serve as Senior Program Director for Miracle System’s Department of State Antiterrorism Assistance (ATA) program – an $180 million contract. The breadth and scope of his core competencies – accumulated over 30 years of leadership positions – is seemingly inexhaustive, encompassing program management, law enforcement, evidence, homeland security, cyber training curriculum development and implementation, information assurance, intelligence analysis, security planning and operations, physical security and surveillance, policy analysis and formulation, strategic planning, foreign law enforcement relationships and consulting, risk management, quality control, and veteran advocacy. Willy holds a B.A. in Industrial Security from George Mason University (where he made the Deans List) and an M.S. in High Tech Crime Investigation from The George Washington University. He is a volunteer photographer for Serving Our Willing Warriors.

Adriel Pond
Senior Program Manager

Adriel brings over 12 years of experience assisting the Federal Government in navigating complex challenges and initiatives. She brings 10 years of strategic communications experience and has successfully assisted organizations in navigating change through the development and execution of organizational, strategic communications, and stakeholder engagement plans.  Adriel is a strong project manager with experience managing client relationships, contract management, and ensuring high-quality delivery. She has led and coordinated IT operations and governance, emergency communications and management, flood insurance, and telecommunications teams across Department of Homeland Security, Department of Commerce, Department of Justice, and USAID.

Bill Kaczor
Cyber Subject Matter Expert

Owner of the highest ITIL v 4 Certificate and a master’s degree in Information Assurance from Norwich University – and finishing up his doctorate in cybersecurity at Capella University – Bill Kaczor is the real deal of cybersecurity expertise. Both a PMP and a CISSP, he serves as a Senior Technical Program Manager and SME of cybersecurity for Miracle Systems – a title clearly well deserved. Bill has nearly 20 years of experience, including senior positions at Boeing and Honeywell. His core competencies furthermore encompass computer forensics, penetration testing, risk management, configuration management, earned value management (EVM), systems engineering, virtualization, and requirements management. He is thoroughly knowledgeable about FISMA systems, DHS mandates, C&A, ATOs, DIACAP, and NIST – and consults the U.S. Government on intrusion detection, vulnerability management, data protection, information assurance, and defense-in-depth security.

Kjerste Dickerson
Human Resource Manager

An accomplished HR Manager who joined Miracle Systems after spending 15 years at Kforce, Ms. Dickerson has expertise in government contracting, federal contract staffing, human resource management, employee benefits, labor laws, communications, and conflict resolution. She studied Human Resource Management at Prince George Community College and is an active member of SHRM. She is a superb HR Manager and troubleshooter who has a keen grasp of the pressures, deadlines, and scope of both HQ employees and those onsite fulfilling Miracle Systems’ federal contract obligations. All who work with her know her to be a highly competent, compassionate, and communicative leader. She understand that by ensuring the happiness of our employees, she helps ensure the satisfaction of our clients.

James Peterson
Contracts Manager and Legal Counsel 

As a trained Georgetown University attorney and former DCAA auditor, Mr. Peterson is well-suited to guide Miracle Systems in matters of law and government contracts. With over 25 years of experience under his belt – including 20 years in key management positions, some spent at household name companies like Deloitte, CACI, and Northrop Grumman – he has developed expertise in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR), and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) laws. He is thoroughly grounded in FFP, CPFF, CPAF, T&M, and IDIQ contracts, and has equal competencies in cooperative agreements, CPSR audits, grants, subcontractor management, teaming agreements, complex sourcing strategies, and dispute resolution. Committed to client satisfaction and thoroughness, Mr. Peterson is a critical resource for all Miracle Systems contracts.
